Solar in Spring Farm

What to know before you start

Many homes in Spring Farm are recent builds. Some came with a small builder-installed solar system, and most have the roof space and modern switchboards that suit a properly sized system with a battery.

We design and install across the Macarthur, so the questions below are the ones we look at on homes like yours.

What we check on a Spring Farm home

Builder-installed systems

Some new homes come with a small system installed to meet building requirements. We check whether to keep it, add to it or replace it, so your system matches your actual bill.

Estate design guidelines

Some estates have their own rules about where equipment can go. We check them before we design, so panels and the battery go where they are allowed.

Single or three-phase power

Newer homes are sometimes built with three-phase power. It changes the right inverter and how much solar you can connect, and it matters if an EV charger is on your list.

Your network and export limits

Homes in Spring Farm are generally on the Endeavour Energy network. Your network approves every connection and can limit how much solar you send back. Conditions depend on your property, so we apply for approval before installation.

Questions from Spring Farm homeowners

My new home already has a small solar system. Can you add to it?

Often, yes. It depends on the inverter and how the system was installed. We check what you have and show you the numbers for adding to it, adding a battery, or replacing it with a system sized to your household.

Should I add a battery now or later?

If most of your power is used in the evening, a battery usually makes sense now while the federal battery rebate is available. If you want to wait, we can install a battery-ready inverter so adding one later is simple.

Do I need three-phase power?

Not usually. Most homes do well on single phase. Three phase helps with larger systems, big air-conditioning loads or fast EV charging, and we tell you if it is worth it for your home.

What rebates are available?

Most homes can get the federal solar rebate (STCs), and eligible batteries get the federal battery rebate. Both come off your price, and we claim them for you. Eligible NSW households can also use the NSW Government's 0% Home Energy Saver loan. The design tool shows what applies to you.
