1. What the Tools are - and are not

A binding price only exists once our engineers have verified your property - roof geometry, shading, switchboard condition, network export limits and your actual usage - and issued you a written quote. Any system you then purchase is governed by our Terms and Conditions of Trade, not by these Tool terms.

2. Assumptions and data sources

Tool outputs are calculated from the information you enter combined with modelling assumptions, including: typical solar yields for your region and orientation; current published rebate rates (STCs and battery incentives, which change on government schedules); indicative equipment pricing; typical tariff structures; and standard consumption patterns where you have not provided detail. Where you enter estimates rather than actual figures (for example an approximate bill), the outputs inherit that approximation.

Satellite and map imagery shown in the Tools is provided by Google Maps for orientation purposes only. It may be outdated or misaligned and is not a substitute for a physical or engineering assessment of your roof.

3. No guarantee of savings or performance

Actual solar generation and financial outcomes depend on factors outside any model's control - weather, seasonal variation, shading changes, your future consumption, electricity price and feed-in tariff movements, network export rules, and equipment operating conditions. Savings, payback and generation figures produced by the Tools are estimates, not promises, and past or modelled performance is not a guarantee of future results.

4. Rebates and incentives

Rebate and incentive values shown are calculated at the rates current at the time of use and depend on eligibility criteria you may or may not meet. They step down or change on published government schedules, so a figure shown today may differ from the value applicable on your installation date. Final rebate values are confirmed in your written quote.

5. Your inputs and your data

Information you enter into a Tool is used to generate your estimate. You receive your full indicative design before any contact details are requested. If you choose to send your design to us, request a call, or save an estimate link, the details you provide are collected and handled as described in our Data Collection & Consent statement and Privacy Policy - used to prepare your design and respond to you, never sold.

Saved estimate links are convenience features: they store your estimate for a limited period (currently 14 days) after which they expire. Do not rely on a saved link as your only record - use the share or send options if you want to keep it.

6. Fair use

The Tools are provided for genuine personal or business use in evaluating solar for a property you own, occupy or represent. You must not use automated means to bulk-query the Tools, attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape their pricing logic, or use outputs to build competing datasets or services. We may limit or withdraw access where use is abusive.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, improve or withdraw the Tools, their assumptions, pricing logic and features at any time without notice. Estimates generated before a change are not re-issued or honoured as fixed - the verified written quote is the only figure we stand behind commercially.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Zero 4 Energy is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on Tool outputs, including decisions made on unverified estimates. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. The rest of the website

These terms operate alongside our Website Terms of Use Tool & Calculator Terms, which govern the website generally. If there is any inconsistency in relation to the Tools, these Tool terms prevail.
