Questions from North Rocks homeowners
I already have an old solar system. Should I upgrade or add a battery?
It depends on its age and the inverter. Systems from around 2010 are usually small and the inverter may be near the end of its life. We show you the numbers for keeping, upgrading or replacing it.
Does my switchboard need upgrading?
Sometimes. Older boards may not have room for the new protection devices, or may need safety upgrades. We check on the site visit and include anything needed in your quote.
Can you install on an older tiled roof?
Yes. We use tile-specific mounting, take care walking the roof and replace any tiles that crack. If the roof needs repairs first, we will tell you.
What rebates are available?
Most homes can get the federal solar rebate (STCs), and eligible batteries get the federal battery rebate. Both come off your price, and we claim them for you. Eligible NSW households can also use the NSW Government's 0% Home Energy Saver loan. The design tool shows what applies to you.
