Questions from Engadine homeowners
Will trees shading my roof make solar not worth it?
Not usually. Most homes have at least one roof face with good sun for much of the day. We design around the shade and tell you honestly if a roof is not worth it.
Do I need council approval in a heritage area?
Rooftop solar is usually exempt from council approval in NSW, but heritage and conservation areas can have extra conditions. We check your property first.
Can a battery go outside?
Often, yes, with the right clearances and protection from sun and weather. Bushfire-prone land can limit the options. We find the right spot on the site visit.
What rebates are available?
Most homes can get the federal solar rebate (STCs), and eligible batteries get the federal battery rebate. Both come off your price, and we claim them for you. Eligible NSW households can also use the NSW Government's 0% Home Energy Saver loan. The design tool shows what applies to you.
